Life Skills Training for parents and kids

What FAMILY AIKIDO is NOT...

A DROP OFF program

You and your child train for the full 75 minutes!

A typical Martial Arts class

Those can be great, but this is so much more!

See below...

Preachy Parenting Advice...

Not another workshop where you sit too long, drink too much coffee, feel bad about yourself and leave daunted by what you “should” be doing better!

The SKILLS WE TEACH

Which we were never taught in school

Below are the four major areas we will train in.

ATTENTION & FOCUS

How to earn attention and respect. Plus the 3 types of FOCUS and how to strengthen each one.

CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION

How to create safety when we feel invaded, disarm the potency of attacks, and establish healthier boundaries.

CORE STRENGTH + BALANCE

How to find our own centre amidst power struggle, how to become more resilient when under stress.

EMOTIONAL RE-SET

We learn to interrupt negative moods with powerful

sensations  and more positive emotional states.

Once you RSVP,

we will send you more details.

Some parents have many kids who could benefit and so wish to bring them all!

WHY we only accept "dyads"

- one parent with one child.

We believe that it is critical that your FULL attention is given to being present with one of your kids during the time we train together. More kids means split attention -- which will not get you the same results. There is also the issue of group focus and distraction. We've tried a lot of variations over the years and have seen that this one is the most powerful and effective.

P.S. - If you wish to discuss one of your kids attending and

watching from the sidelines, please contact Sensei David

to seek advising and permission first.

WHY only 1 child per parent...?

Ready to R.S.V.P.?

WHY we ask you to RSVP personally?

Three good reasons.

  1. To make sure this is a GOOD FIT.

  2. Space is limited and we want to hold spots for those who are committed.

  3. To communicate with and prep you to get the most out of our time together.
